2015 was a great year with regards to travel. Now, it seems like 2016 is going to be even better, and I’m so excited to share my journey(s) with you!

As you know, I have already kicked off 2016 on the other side of the globe. Celebrating New Year’s in Sydney was an amazing experience, and one I am glad to have crossed off my bucket list. From Australia I traveled to the Philippines and the beautiful island of Boracay, where I spent a few days with my best friend. I headed back to Norway at the end of January, and after spending a couple of months in Oslo I headed to Copenhagen for a weekend at the beginning of Easter.

Which brings us to today.

Ida and I have been planning the Autumn of a lifetime, and today we finally booked our tickets. Once I finish university I’ll head home to the fjords for a few months, to work and save some money. Then we are off on our first adventure.

A week in Rome, Italy will kick off our Autumn, and I can’t wait to get back to the Eternal City. I haven’t been since I was 14, and all I remember is how beautiful I thought it all was. I have been saying for years that at 14 I was too young to truly appreciate Italian wine and Italian men, and I can’t wait to go back and take it all in properly. Keep your mind out of the gutter, please.

Once October comes around, we will jump on a plane via Manchester (spending one night at an airport hotel, exciting) towards Cancún, Mexico! We will spend a week along the Riviera Maya, and are currently considering whether we should stay in Cancún, Playa del Carmen or Tulum. If you’ve visited either I’d love to hear your thoughts!

After a fun-filled week along the Caribbean sea, we’ll jet off to another adventure – and a big cross on the bucket list: Hawaii! We’ve decided to stick with exploring the Island of Oahu, and can’t wait to roam around and soak up the sun for two whole weeks. I’ve always had a feeling that deep down I’m an island girl, now we’ll finally see if it’s true.

After our weeks in Mexico and Hawaii, it’s time to head somewhere colder (and wetter). So we are heading to one of my favourite cities; Seattle! Spending 5 days visiting the lovely Andrea and getting back on non-island time will be great, and I know Ida will love the city as much as I do. It’s been a few years since my last visit, so I’ll get to update some of my photos and blog posts for you guys.

We will spend a whole month back in Norway, working and paying off our debts from the trip, har har.. And then when we think we are about to lose our tan we’re off again! This time, for a week spent on an island in the Maldives. It’s the perfect lead-up to Christmas and the Norwegian Winter, and we will lie on the beach in our private bungalow with no cares in the world. Breakfast and dinner is included as well, so you know we’ll enjoy our time there.

Christmas and New Year’s will be spent at home by the fjords, with an amazing travel year behind me.

What are your travel plans for the rest of 2016?

Those plans sound amazing!!! I’m currently deciding whether to go to Fiji, New York, or San Francisco in the beginning of June, and then I’m heading over to Australia until around early August! Your trips sound so much fun though and I hope you have a great time!
