Sopot is best known for its long sandy beach, historic pier, and lively nightlife, but it’s also one of Poland’s best destinations for wellness and relaxation. In fact, you’ll find some truly great spas making it worth a trip to Sopot in their own right.

Whether you’re visiting for a weekend or an extended summer holiday, treating yourself to a spa day (or two!) is the perfect way to balance sightseeing with downtime.

During my recent trip, I set out to explore some of the most beautiful hotels and spas in the area. From rooftop pools overlooking the Baltic Sea to intimate treatment-focused sanctuaries, Sopot has something for every type of spa lover.

Below, I’ve gathered the 5 must-visit spas in Sopot (and technically nearby Gdynia), with each one offering something a little different.

5 Best Spas in Sopot

The list below is not numbered, but I have tried to rank them according to the vibe and style they are “best for”. Hopefully this will help you choose which Sopot spa to visit (all though I highly recommend visiting them all)!

Mera Spa at the Sopot Marriott Resort & Spa – Best for Rooftop Relaxation and Views

The Mera Spa at the Sopot Marriott is one of the city’s most famous wellness destinations — and for good reason. Located right on the beach, it combines Nordic-inspired design with a variety of pools, saunas, and treatment rooms.

During my stay at the Marriott, I spent hours by the rooftop pool, soaking up the sun and the views over the Baltic Sea. While the rooftop bar wasn’t open during my visit, I happily solved that problem by bringing up wine from the hotel’s Fox Lounge — a tip worth remembering if you’re visiting on a sunny day.

When it comes to treatments, Mera Spa offers a wide selection of massages, facials, and body rituals, all inspired by Nordic wellness traditions. I tried the 60-minute Mera Relax massage, which left me feeling completely rejuvenated.

My friend Ida even declared it the best massage she’s ever had! Between treatments, you can explore the spa’s thermal areas or simply enjoy the relaxed, stylish atmosphere. After your treatment, you’ll be shown to a beautiful relaxation room with stunning views of the sea!

If you’re spending a few days in Sopot and want a luxury spa experience that blends luxury, beachside views, and a touch of Scandinavian design, the Mera Spa is hard to beat.

Orientalne Spa at Rezydent Sopot MGallery – Best for Treatments in the City Center

Tucked away inside the elegant Rezydent Sopot MGallery Hotel, the Orientalne Spa is the perfect option if you’re looking for a treatment-focused experience in the heart of the city.

Unlike larger spa complexes, this is not a “spend-the-whole-day” kind of spa — it’s a tranquil space designed for high-quality treatments.

During my stay at the Rezydent (which you can read about in my hotel review), I booked the Kobido massage, a Japanese-inspired facial and head massage. I wasn’t sure what to expect, as I’d never had a full face massage before, but it turned out to be one of the most relaxing treatments I’ve tried.

Lasting 75 minutes, it worked on pressure points across my face and scalp, and I left feeling both refreshed and completely calm.

The spa also offers other massages and body treatments, but for me, the highlight was how easily accessible it was — just steps from our room in the very center of Sopot. If you’re staying in town and want a world-class treatment without leaving the city center, Orientalne Spa is the perfect choice.

Quadrille Spa at Hotel Quadrille, Gdynia – Best for Getting Away

While technically located in nearby Gdynia, the Quadrille Spa is well worth the short trip from Sopot.

Housed inside a stunning 18th-century palace turned design hotel, the Quadrille is famous for its whimsical Alice in Wonderland theme — something I adored during my overnight stay.

I mean, you KNOW I love staying in anything resembling a palace, castle or lavish country house, as proven during this trip.

The spa itself strikes a beautiful balance between playful design and deeply relaxing facilities. It includes a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and even an ice dispenser for hot-and-cold contrast therapy.

I tried the 90-minute Quadrille Massage, a ritual blending Lomi Lomi strokes with stretching. It felt restorative and calming, and was unlike any treatment I’d had before.

Afterward, I alternated between the sauna and the ice rub, which left me feeling both energized and relaxed.

If you’re looking for a spa experience that combines historic charm, a touch of whimsy, and truly luxurious treatments, the Quadrille Spa is an unforgettable choice. The hotel itself is also stunning, so consider staying overnight for the full experience.

Botanical Wellness & Day Spa at Hotel Sopot – Best for Nature-Inspired Treatments

Located at the modern Hotel Sopot, the Botanical Wellness & Day Spa is a beautiful option for travelers who want a spa experience rooted in natural, plant-based treatments. The spa emphasizes relaxation and rejuvenation, with rituals that draw inspiration from herbs, botanicals, and essential oils.

Here, you’ll find a mix of classic treatments — from hot stone massages to facials — alongside wellness rituals designed to soothe both body and mind.

The atmosphere is calming and intimate, making it a great choice for couples or anyone looking for a quieter spa day away from the buzz of Sopot’s center.

The Botanical Spa is also a wonderful option if you want something a little different from the big hotel spas, with a focus on natural elements and holistic wellness.

The Sheraton Sopot Spa – Best for Iconic Luxury

No spa roundup in Sopot would be complete without mentioning the Sheraton Sopot Spa. The Sheraton is one of the city’s most iconic hotels, located right on the seafront next to the pier.

Its spa is a destination in itself, with a wide range of facilities including a hydropool, saunas, steam rooms, and a Rasul chamber (a traditional Arabian mud treatment).

The treatment menu covers everything from massages and facials to multi-day wellness programs, making it a great option if you want to combine luxury accommodation with a comprehensive spa experience. The spa also offers specialized treatments for couples, making it a popular choice for romantic getaways.

With its central location and reputation for five-star service, the Sheraton Spa is the go-to choice for travelers seeking an iconic, full-service spa experience in Sopot.

More Popular Activities in Sopot

Of course, a spa trip to Sopot can be combined with plenty of other activities. The city is home to Europe’s longest wooden pier, a lively main street filled with bars and restaurants, and miles of sandy beaches.

Whether you want to sip cocktails on the beach, enjoy fresh seafood, or take a day trip into nearby Gdańsk, Sopot offers the perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment.
