The Grand Fiesta Americana is a beautiful All-Inclusive resort (read my review of their Cancun location here). The Cabo Tortuga Boutique Hotel is a 3* hotel with a high traveller rating on Booking.com. If you are visiting Cabo San Lucas on a budget, the Sofia Hostel Cabo is a great option.
Where to eat: The highest rated restaurant in the area is Metate Cabo. According to Eater, the best cafe is Taller 17. Keep in mind that all of the Cabo beach clubs on this list also serve food, and thus are popular places to eat.

Packing for Cabo San Lucas: Cabo is a warm destination, so pack light, comfortable clothes and shoes that are easy to slip on and off. Toms and flip-flops are ideal. Don’t forget a swimsuit, and of course reef-safe sunscreen (very important). Here’s my complete Cabo packing list.

What is there to do in Cabo San Lucas?
Located in Mexico’s Baja California peninsula, Cabo San Lucas is a holiday destination famous for its beautiful waters. Whilst the town itself is more of a resort town (you’ll find lots of all-inclusive hotels to choose from here), there are also plenty of fun things to do.
Most excursions and activities in the area include going sailing, snorkeling or just enjoying the waters. But there are also land-based activities that involve tequila tasting and food as a way to dive deeper into Mexico’s culture.
In Chileno Bay you can see the sea turtles as they come in during the nesting season (starting in May). As always, when swimming with turtles in Mexico, stay respecftull and keep a distance from the animals.
Just an hour away you will find the beautiful Todos Santos, one of Mexico’s Pueblos Magicos. A day trip there should not be missed!
Below you will find some of the top-rated attractions and tours in Cabo. Hopefully this shows that there is more to Cabo than its beach clubs (all though they are great)!
Know Before you Go: Cabo’s Beach Clubs
Before you visit Cabo, there’s a few things worth knowing about the beach clubs there.
Day passes for the beach clubs are usually sold on a full-day or half-day basis. This will include access to all amenities, and usually towels too. Keep in mind that there is often a minimum spend at the beach club – which basically means that you get some of the value of the day pass back.
A minimum spend just means that you have to purchase food and drinks for that amount during your stay at the beach club. Which is usually no problem at all. For example, if a day-pass costs 1000 MXN (around 60 USD), there may be a minimum spend of 400 MXN included in that.
What this means is simply that the actual cost of the day pass is 600 MXN, but in addition to this you have to spend 400 MXN, leaving the beach club with a total earning of 1000 MXN (plus whatever more you end up spending).
Also, the beach clubs are usually family friendly in the day-time. Most of them have a child rate that is about half the cost of an adult day pass. However, when the crowd starts getting busier in the evening, it’s time to go. No 9-year-old needs to see a wet t-shirt contest.
The 5 Best Cabo Beach Clubs
Whether you are looking for an oasis to relax in or a busy hotspot, the beach clubs of Cabo San Lucas will not disappoint. Grab your sunscreen (reef-safe, please) and get ready to discover your own slice of heaven by the ocean!
The beach clubs listed below are all in random order, and I have highlighted pros and cons where applicable. For example if a beach club is more family friendly, I’ve made sure to include that. Or if it has more of a party vibe, I’be made a note of that instead.
The clubs are all located along the main beach in Cabo; El Medano Beach. This is the most popular beach in town, both for swimming and sunbathing. In fact, it is on of very few swimmable beaches in Cabo.
Enjoy this list, and leave a comment below on how you enjoyed the beach club you ended up at!
#1 Taboo Beach Club
Taboo is a beautiful, high-end beach club with a beautiful pool and welcoming swim-up bar. Its location gives the vibe away. You’ll find Taboo as part of the 5* hotel ME Cabo.
Mediterranean cuisine is the focus for their menu, and you will actually feel like you are on the French Riviera whilst here. The beach club was even awarded the Diner’s Choice Awards by Open Table in 2022.
All though there is a chic, exclusive vibe to Taboo Beach Club, it is still a party place – so request a bed or cabana away from the bustle if you want a more quiet experience.
- Vibe: Upscale
- Amenities worth highlighting: Swim up bar
- Opening hours: Daily 11am to 1am
- Address: Inside ME Cabo, along Playa El Medano
#2 Mango Deck Beach Club
This beach club and restaurant is a rather energetic spot known for a lively entertainment program. As in dance competitions, bikini contests and the likes.
From various contests and live DJs to water sport rentals – this is a busy and popular place to spend the day.
One of the highlights at Mango Deck is the view of the Arch of Los Cabos, one of Cabo San Lucas’ main attractions.
The club is very popular, and open 7 days a week. They even have a live webcam that you can watch on their website, if you are interested in checking out the vibe before you go.
They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a large menu consisting of both Mexican and international dishes.
- Vibe: Party/spring break
- Amenities worth highlighting: Jet ski rentals
- Opening hours: Daily 8am to 10pm
- Address: Playa El Medano S/N

#3 SUR Beach House
SUR Beach House is the perfect day club for experiencing laidback luxury. This is a stylish beach club with a gourmet restaurant experience featuring fresh seafood and Mexican cuisine. Perfect for foodies!
The style across SUR is boho chic, with palm-thatched palapas roofs and live music playing throughout the club.
In addition to the great food, the cocktails at SUR are next level. There are water sports equipment for rent during the day, such as SUPs and kayaks.
In the evening, the vibe becomes increasingly more party-friendly, so this is a great daytime spot if you are looking for a quiet holiday in Cabo.
Side note: Not to be confused with SUR Lounge in Los Angeles.
- Vibe: Boho-chic
- Amenities worth highlighting: Great food
- Opening hours: Daily 8am to 11pm
- Address: Playa El Medano

#4 Billygan’s Cabo
Another popular Medano beach club is Billygans, located right on the oceanfront along El Medano. With lots of lounges to choose from and great drinks, this is the go-to spot for cocktail lovers.
On the beach you can rent jet skis, stand up paddle boards and kayaks, and there are even yoga classes in the daytime. The menu focuses on seafood and Mexican dishes – the perfect blend for a day in the sun.
If you are just looking for a place to grab some lunch (or dinner), Billygan’s is perfect for this as you can sit with your toes in the sand and watch the waves roll in on the beach. There’s no better feeling in the world!
- Vibe: Upbeat
- Amenities worth highlighting:
- Opening hours: Daily 7am to 10pm

#5 Corazon Beach Club
Whether you are looking for a private cabana to relax in, or just a sun lounger under a large umbrella, Corazon Beach Club might be your perfect match.
Corazon Beach Club used to be known as Cachet Beach Club. It is the largest beach club in the Cabo San Lucas area, so you can always expect a crowd here.
Corazon is not just a beach club, but also a popular resort and spa in Cabo. Therefore, this is the perfect place to chill if you want to combine your beach club visit with a massage or facial.
- Vibe: Relaxed
- Amenities worth highlighting: Spa

- Address: Medano Beach

More Beach Clubs in Cabo San Lucas worth noting
Of course, the ones listed above are not the only clubs in Cabo worth knowing about. Below are a few more, just in case you need more options!
If you are spending more than just a long weekend in Cabo, you’ll definitely want to check out more beach clubs.
#6 El Ganzo Beach Club
Located inside the El Ganzo hotel, and at the end of the Puerto Los Cabos Pier, I included El Ganzo on the list because it is *not* along the El Medano beach like the others.
This place is rustic, with a chilled, laidback atmosphere. They are open every day and a day pass costs 1000 MXN (roughly around 60 USD).
#7 Tabasco Beach Restaurant & Bar
This beach club is a laid-back spot with colourful decor (I love it!), relaxing hammocks, palapas for shade, and great fish tacos to enjoy by the sea.
One big reason to choose this beach club is that it is family owned, dating back to 1988. It started as a water sports rental business, and still rent out jet skis, paddle boards, skimming boards and more to guests.
#8 Baja Brewing Company
Baja Brewing Company is a really cool place. They not only offer craft beers but also an inviting pool area where you can relax while sipping your favourite drink.
Most people assume this is just a brewpub, but their rooftop is worth a visit! All though it is not technically considered a beach club, I decided to include it on the list. In their own words, you can “drink the best beer in Cabo, with the best view in Cabo”.
