Today marks 1 week since I officially became a full-time travel blogger. That is, a person with no salary or company to pay her. The past week has flown by in a flurry of people to say goodbye to, last-minute errands and flights, and today has been the first day I feel like I have really had the time to sit down and get to work.
As mentioned in my post announcing that I had handed in my notice and my decision to become a full-time blogger, the first stop on my 5-month long first trip was Bali. So guess where I am now?
Ever since starting to work towards this goal, Canggu in Bali was at the top of my list of places to work from. Here, I have the beach within walking distance, loads of other bloggers and digital nomads around to inspire and motivate me, plenty of options for smoothie bowls and cocktails, and a kick-ass coworking space. So you have no idea how exciting it is to finally be here, after months of dreaming and planning.
I arrived late last night and went straight to bed. Today, however, I have already joined Dojo Bali, a coworking space just down the street from my hotel. I’ll be spending my days there working, drinking coffee, eating smoothie bowls, and swimming in the pool (yes, the coworking space has a pool). It’s only been a day, but I’m loving my life as a blogger so far!
Now, let’s talk about this blog.
You’ll slowly start seeing some changes here on Fjords and Beaches over the next few months, as I want to incorporate a few more posts about my new lifestyle into the blog. I’m also merging the Fjords and Beaches blog with the Fjords and Beaches Creative blog, as having two was more of an effort than I initially thought. That’s why you can now see the ‘Social Media Tips‘ tab up on the menu. So watch this space for social media and more specifically, Instagram tips coming your way!
Now, over to you, and the reason I’m writing this blog post. Would you want to read monthly reports about what it’s like to be a travel blogger/digital nomad? If so, is there anything, in particular, you’d like me to cover? I know some super brave nomads publishing income reports, and I’m not sure I’m comfortable with that (yet), but I’d love to keep you updated on my life as a blogger as the months go by! Let me know what you think in the comments!
